PEEPAL GARH

Conceived as a slow-paced retreat, this boutique resort is anticipated as a sanctuary of roots and ramparts, a thoughtful dialogue between history, water, and earth. Set amidst the dramatic, contoured landscape of Udaipur, the layout balances the raw permanence of its masonry with the fluid movement of nature. The substantial stone walls that emerge gently from the land like ancient fortifications, allows the design not to divide, but to frame. They honor the site’s existing old-grown trees and capture incoming natural streams, weaving the element of water directly into the guest experience. The design prioritizes experiential freedom that invite visitors to wander through courtyards, frolic along the water’s edge, stay in intimate, secluded sanctuaries, or simply be.
